Partner Sessions - From commitment to impact: Lessons from leaders coordinating efforts to end violence against women and girls - Second World Summit for Social Development.


The Second World Summit for Social Development takes place from November 4 to 6, 2025, in Doha, Qatar, focusing on social development issues and reaffirming commitments to the Copenhagen Declaration. World leaders come together to redefine strategies for social progress, strengthen global partnerships, and promote inclusive policies that foster equitable opportunities for all. The goal: to build societies that are more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable.

Organized by UN Spotlight Initiative, the session will feature conversations with the UN Resident Coordinators in Samoa and Sierra Leone leading transformative efforts to end violence against women and girls.

  October 17th presents an opportunity to acknowledge the effort and struggle of people living in poverty , a chance for them to make their concerns heard, and a moment to recognize that poor people are the first ones to fight against poverty . Participation of the poor themselves has been at the center of the Day's celebration since its very beginning.
