CIVIL SOCIETY FORUM — Fostering Equity - Second World Summit for Social Development.

The Second World Summit for Social Development takes place from November 4 to 6, 2025, in Doha, Qatar, focusing on social development issues and reaffirming commitments to the Copenhagen Declaration. World leaders come together to redefine strategies for social progress, strengthen global partnerships, and promote inclusive policies that foster equitable opportunities for all. The goal: to build societies that are more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable.

Fostering Equity: Catalyzing Support for Development for Africa and the Least Developed Countries. A global forum led by civil society to promote transparency, equity, and democratic participation in advancing social progress, featuring ten sessions inspired by the Copenhagen Commitments to foster collective action for social development. This Event addresses one of the most persistent, yet under-recognized, forms of inequality and causes of systemic exclusion: caste-like, inherited, status-based discrimination against Descent Communities in Africa and other LDCs.

Participation of the poor themselves has been at the center of the Day's celebration since its very beginning.
