Aligning Economic Policy with People's Needs and Well-being: Social Development as a Core Outcome. A global forum led by civil society to promote transparency, equity, and democratic participation in advancing social progress, featuring ten sessions inspired by the Copenhagen Commitments to foster collective action for social development. This event will explore how public services, and their adequate financing, can be one of the most important stabilizing and stimulative instruments for development, social mobility, social and intergenerational justice, and a building block for dignity and wellbeing.

Participation of the poor themselves has been at the center of the Day's celebration since its very beginning.
